TRANSPORT

TRANSPORT is a group formed by the artist, singer and filmmaker Lucile Desamory and the musician Carola Caggiano. They perform hits by Dalida, Mina, old polish cabaret songs and Schubert Lieder as well as original compositions. With or without microphones, they wander through well-known melodies that serve as vessels for emotions. In Dutch, Arabic, French, Armenian, Italian, English and Yiddish, Desamory and Caggiano invite you inside of an exhilarating lament. They stir a murmur and aim at a delirious state of communion. 

Lucile Desamory (°1977, BE) is a visual artist, filmmaker, actor, and musician. She is interested in the frontiers of perception, in the „too much“, the falsified – in the spurned narratives. This interest in marginal phenomena always requires changing the medium. She uses painting, collage, photography, film, and her voice. She combines these techniques into larger webs such as installations, films, radio plays and live performances.

Carola Caggiano (ES) is a Spanish-Argentine sound designer and musician based in Berlin since 2004. Her sound is inspired a little by her half-knowledge of the cosmos, physics and science fiction, but above all by her fantasies about them. Some of her latest collaborations are with Antonia Baehr Lucile Desamory, Kris Lemsalu, Hauen und Stechen, Latifa Laâbissi and Ola Maciejewska.
